Adventure Journal Entry 2

Last Saturday, I took an adventure to my cousin, Natalie’s, wedding. My family drove to Chico, California, and we got ready at my grandmother’s house. Then we left to drive to Orland for the wedding. After driving down several back country roads and crossing a short bridge, we made it to the beautiful area where the outdoor wedding would be. We sat down in our seats and admired the view of the large river (or small lake?) in front of us. After going over the typical wedding stuff, the vows were said. While the bride and groom were saying their vows, a man on a small fishing boat drove around the lake, making the vows hard to hear. This caused everyone to laugh, even my cousin and her very soon-to-be husband. After the ceremony, people sat down at whichever table they chose, and were able to get drinks and hors d’oeuvres. While waiting for the dinner to be served, my sisters and I explored the area. We took silly pictures with the deer and turtle statues, and some in front of a beautiful bridge over a pond. Later during the night, it started to rain, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. I had lots of fun at the wedding, and even though I missed the homecoming dance at Westmont, I still had a great time and I’m very happy for my cousin’s new marriage.
(I don't like the pictures of me so here's my cousin and her husband!)
