This past week I was a cabin leader at Walden West Outdoor School! It was an amazing and new experience even though I have done it twice before. On Sunday night I went to the Saratoga site where we did the training and I was chosen to leave on Tuesday morning to be a cabin leader at the other site, in Cupertino. The main difference between the two sites are the type of kids you have. Saratoga has more middle and high class kids coming in, whereas, Cupertino has the less privileged children which makes a huge difference. I personally prefer the Cupertino site because I feel that I am making a huge impact in the kids lives. The entire week was fun but stressful at the same time, but it was well worth it. The other cabin leaders that I worked with are incredible human beings, and I wish I could go to school with them. Sadly, we had to part ways but we will continue to talk. Hopefully, the friendships I created will last and I am looking forward to going up again.
