For my past week’s adventure, I visited Chico State
University over the weekend! The day started at five in the morning so my mom
and I could get ready and be prepared for the almost four hour drive ahead of
us. We finally got on the road around six AM and headed towards Chico. This was
very exciting for me because it would be my first college tour of a California
school. As we were driving, I took a nap which made my trip feel extra
shortened. Eventually we got to Chico, and we were an hour early for the tour
so my mom and I decided to stop at a Starbucks near the University. After a
while, it was close to the time we would start the tour, so we headed towards
the school. At first, I did not think I would enjoy Chico State due to the
overwhelming college town feel to it; I thought I would only like a city feel,
whereas Chico has nothing really surrounding it. But as I was on my tour, I
learned so many aspects of the school I did not know about and things that
would make my college experience incredibly fun while educational. I realized I
should not keep my options short just because I think I will not like it,
because my opinions changed immensely. Now, I could definitely see Chico State
University in my future and believe if I get accepted there, it would
definitely be a great choice for me!
