Adventure #2

As long as I have lived in my current house, I can't remember a time where I haven't had the loving presence of a dog. In my short eighteen years of existence I have had around seven dogs. I have always been loved animals but none as much as dogs. I have always regularly taken my dogs on walks, but have always traveled on the same path. But that changed last weekend when I took my two and a half year old male boxer, Apollo, on a hiking trail. It was a new experience for both of us; I had never been on this trail before, and he had never been out of Campbell before. It was a long 17 mile drive up to Castle Rock Sate Park, where the trail was. It was on a chilly Saturday morning, around 7;15 am. The ground was still damp from the morning dew, and I could tell Apollo's paws were going to be covered in mud by the end of the day. Thankfully we hadn't seen very much wild life on our hike or else he would have stopped in his tracks out of pure fear of the unknown. The trail was very nice and I think I may have found my new place to walk my dogs.
