Adventure Five?!
This Tuesday I worked at the girl’s volley ball
game. I’ve never worked or watched a girl’s volley ball game so it was very interesting.
They played Branham. Branham was super intense looking because they have
complete suits and equipment of each player. This connects back to the area
code article we read in the beginning of the year. Branham is pretty close to
us yet they obviously have much more money, enough to provide each player with matching
water bottles with their school colors. This may be due to strong parent
support which Westmont may not have an equal amount of. Any way I found that intimidating
along with the fact most of them were super tall. The varsity game is extremely
aggressive and also surprisingly loud. I couldn’t look away from the varsity game.
The teams worked well together, especially because when the ball went out or
they wanted to hit the ball, they would scream super loud which was sort of
funny. Often players were even hitting the ball backwards and diving on the
ground to save the ball, I had no idea volleyball could be so painful even to
watch. Although Westmont lost, I’m glad I
watched the game.
