My Adventure was attending the 2014 Homecoming Rally. I have never been to a Homecoming rally and being a senior made it feel so amazing. I experienced so many things at once. Everyone was screaming and jumping up and down and we would all join in dancing to the music. The seniors won just about every game; as expected. At every game, when the senior class would compete, it would get so intense. When every game was nearing to the end, we would all get up and run to the competitors. There were over 30 seniors sitting on the floor; ready to get up at any moment. During the sudden death round of the balloon popping challenge, everyone, and I mean everyone, got up and joined into a mosh pit of sweaty teenagers surrounding them. Another exciting moment was the Breakdance club’s performance. The dancers looked really cool in their coordinating outfits and baggy pants. They were spinning, popping and locking, and doing flips across the gym. Although the one moment we were all waiting for was the reveal of our Homecoming King and Queen. The girls all looked beautiful as they walked out with their fathers and the handsome boys all beaming, with grins from ear to ear. It was a very intense moment when finding out who won. Tiffanie Bui’s face was priceless when she pulled out the end of the cloth from her box. And the very spirited Sourena Shir was lifted and rested on many of his friends shoulders after finding the red at the end of his cloth. It was a wonderful night filled with Westmont pride and showing off your warrior face, but it’s nice to come home after all that and go to bed. Hopefully you don’t have any unfinished homework. I will definitely be going to the next rally, but for now I will just say Good Night warriors.
