First League Game

        On  this past Friday night, October 3, I got to suit up and play football with all of my brothers. This was our fourth game of the season, however it was out first in league game, meaning all the others where technically preseason. We were 3-0, undefeated and trying to stay that way, however we had the San Jose Bulldogs standing in our way trying to change that. San Jose was definitely looking for some revenge from last year because we beet them by an ungodly amount. Anyways, when the game started you tell that there was no enthusiasm in the air, there wasn't a "buzz" between all the players like there normally is on Friday nights under the lights. Once warm ups where done and we where ready to start the game you could tell we were still a little flat but we knew that we needed to change that. The game started, it was a tough hard hitting battle and we knew everything that we got that game would have to be earned. Once the half was over the score was 7-6 westmont up. Even though we were ahead we were disappointed because we knew that we could do better, we knew that we were not playing to out level, we had dropped our standards because we knew San Jose was a joke. However at half we came to a realization that we can and that we have to steam roll these guys, so we did. The second half seemed like a totally different ball game, we were flying around makeing blocks, getting tackles, and scoring touchdowns. We ended the game how we should have ended the half, on top and in control. At the end the score was 20-6. The westmont warriors are now 4-0  and at the top of their league.
