Adventure Journal 4

This past week, my Uncle Jack and my cousin Alec came to Campbell to visit. My Uncle lives in Washington and my cousin lives in Oregon. They drove over here and driving usually takes 2 days. But they did it in one because they left at 1am and sped for a little while. They arrived on Saturday the 11th and through Thursday, leaving Friday morning. It was great having them stay with us because the past two years we went to visit them and now we were able to see them twice in the year. The first night they were here we all had dinner at my Aunt’s house and she made rolled chicken Washington but that didn’t really turn out. Then after a little while of letting our Thanksgiving portions of food set in our stomachs, we played heads up. Heads up is a game like charades or headbands that we played on my cousins I pad. My team won of course since we know our movies and are great at accents. We didn’t do much for a couple of days and I felt really bad like they were bored. Earlier that week Alec said he really wanted to go Vans so I thought after getting picked up from school, we could go to the mall. Alec ended up getting these breathable, thin vans and Jack ended up buying an actual pair of vans which he hadn’t had since he was a kid. They next day they seemed bored to me, only watching Castle marathons and taking naps. When they picked me up from school, my other cousin Jeremiah was with them and we had to stop by target. I thought they would really like Tilly’s so I begged them to go inside. They loved it and Alec only ended up buying a belt and Jack bought stickers but I know they enjoyed it .Jack’s birthday was on Friday but he wanted to leave that day, so we out to dinner on Thursday to Toa Toa. Now my family has been eating there for years, but Jack has never been. We ate so much and had such a great time. And since it was his birthday, he told me every day the whole that he wanted something artistic as a present.  My sister painted him Koi fish and I painted him a picture of his dog Bailey. I was really happy getting to see them but I think we should just keep to having my family go up to see them instead. I don’t like the feeling of being a boring host.
