My second adventure journal was hiking Mission Peak. I've always seen pictures of people at the top standing on the pole and always thought that it was something I wanted to do. The night before I had text my friends in our group chat asking if they wanted to go on a hike the next morning. My friend Anela said yes and I suggested a usual hike up to prospect point, she agreed. that night I was in my garage and I found my dad's Camel Bak, I decided I must use it and prospect point wasn't enough of a challenge, so I told Anela that we were going to be hiking Mission Peak in the morning. It was hot, uphill, and exhausting. The entire time was just Anela and I complaining about how hot and tired we were. About half way up we saw a fox run right in front of us and we were terrified. I most likely won't ever do it again, but it was definitely an experience that I'm glad I had. It was the hardest hike I've ever been on and I never suggest that anyone do it unless you exercise often, because I was extremely sore for a little more than a week.
